We were a family of 9 visiting last week, the house was lovely we really enjoyed ourselves. The house was spotless and the beds really comfortable. It was a very quiet and peaceful location with lots to do and see in the surrounding area. We had a fabulous time. We would recommend the house very much. Hot Tub was ready on arrival and looked after throughout our stay. Lots of hot water, heating if needed. The garden is beautiful. Two areas for sitting outside the one downstairs is lovely in the evening next to the hot tub, cooler if it's hot which it was on our visit. I had a bit of trouble with the cooker I'm not very technical, but my son worked it out for me. You feel like your very remote as lots of countryside but it was easy to get everywhere, we went to the large shopping mall in Newcastle it was massive we spent an entire day and so easy to get to only about 20 minutes away. I would go again the house is big enough for everyone to have space. Make sure if you go to take enough food etc for your first night as no local shop, there was coffee, tea milk for a drink. My only request would be to have a coffee machine there was a cafeteria but missed my coffee machine. Also their is an iron if you need one.

Perfect stay from beginning to endThe lodge was as described and very spacious and clean. Peaceful surroundings and well maintained grounds Bedrooms all nice sizes especially the main bedroom. Beds were very comfy too. Nice stroll down to the hotel where the gym sauna pool and golf is which was an added bonus with the sports bar and restaurant to choose from. The owner was always on hand if you needed them and came to check the hot tub daily. Would definitely recommend to anyone
