Jamaal Lodge in Northumberland receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to beautiful beaches and local amenities. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests enjoying repeat visits and the thoughtful touches provided.
The majority of reviews highlight the lodge's cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'lovely clean' and 'very clean'. There is a single mention of the grass needing a cut and some cleaning oversights, but these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.
The location is frequently praised for its convenience to beaches and local sights, though some guests were not pleased with the housing estate setting and ongoing development. The proximity to Druridge Bay and other attractions is a recurring positive note.
Guests find the lodge comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and spacious living areas. There is a single negative comment regarding a lumpy mattress, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as problems with heating, Wi-Fi, and minor wear and tear, which suggests room for improvement.
While some guests mention receiving wine, biscuits, and fresh milk, there are not enough reviews referencing these gifts to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
Amble 3 miles. A fabulous, detached wooden lodge located in the quiet hamlet of South Broomhill, on the rural outskirts of Amble, 4 miles from Warkworth. Situated close to the beautiful Druridge Bay Country Park and Nature Reserve, this spacious property boasts bedrooms on both the ground and first floors, two bathrooms, a first floor balcony and a lovely large garden surrounding the property, including an enclosed rear lawned area, ideal for dining alfresco. Northumberland's delightful Heritage Coast is a mere 1 mile away, whilst Alnwick, Berwick, the Scottish Borders and Newcastle, with its world-famous Metrocentre, are all within easy driving distance. A fantastic property in a great location!
This lively little seaport, with its new marina, bustling harbour, where freshly caught fish can be bought from the shop, glorious sandy beaches and a coastal walk to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley makes this a perfect place to spend a holiday. There are plenty of activities to occupy the whole family right on the doorstep, and Amble-by-the-Sea is also well located from which to explore the rest of Northumberland. To the south of Amble lies Coquet Island, an rspb reserve, where boat trips around the island can be organised and puffins, eider ducks and terns can be seen. There are many charming coastal villages to be discovered including Alnmouth and Craster, whilst further inland the castles of Warkworth and Alnwick along with the National Trust properties of Wallington Hall and Cragside House are all within an easy reach. A superb holiday destination for all the family.

It was clean, comfortable & had lots of space. There was plenty of crockery & cutlery which made it easier to use the dishwasher & still have spare cups for drinks. The utility room was very useful, we could leave all our coats & footwear there. We were lucky to have dry, sunny weather, so we visited several beaches from Lindisfarne to the nearby Druridge Bay (& the lovely Drift cafe). The property is in a good location to travel easily to local beaches, or go on the A1 to Lindisfarne. My son has asked if I can book Jamaal Lodge again for next year. I would be happy to return.

Spacious self catering property that was really well equipped. You can walk to Druridge Bay Nature Reserve from the property and there are loads of local sights within an hour's drive including Beamish, Alnwick and Bamburgh.
