Just paces away from a hub of shops, eateries, pubs, the marina and shoreline, Stone's Throw makes the ideal base for exploring the delights of the county, well-equipped for a self-catered stay; four guests are invited, ideal for couples sharing or friends. Park up on the roadside in the centre of the town, before travelling by foot to Stone's Throw and its stone-fronted exterior. Enter the homely living/dining room, complete with plush seating, a TV, and dining for four guests, before locating the contemporary kitchen, well-equipped with all expected appliances. When sleep calls, head upstairs to select between the double and queen bedrooms, both well-presented and serviced by a sleek shower room. Amble, a bustling small harbour at the River Coquet's mouth, is a great starting point for exploring Northumberland. In addition to sandy beaches, a marina, a harbour, and coastal hikes to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and the national park at Druridge Bay, Amble, once a centre for boatbuilding, offers all of these amenities. A variety of fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are landed by the large fishing boats that are moored around the harbour wall. On the side of the harbour is a fish centre that sells local fish and is available to the public. It is currently mostly a shellfish hatchery to restock levels of lobster and other shellfish. Coquet Island, an rspb reserve with a sizable population of terns, puffins, and eider ducks, is located one mile south of Amble.

Perfect location - immaculately clean and super comfy. Had everything we needed and more. Not a problem with the parking and although we were disappointed that the yard was shared with another property, it didn't detract from our stay. We just didn't use it at all as it wasn't private. Hosts were super friendly with great communication and even left us a card for our anniversary! Already recommended it to friends and we'll definitely be back - thanks Paul & Sandra.

Free parking closeby.V comfy house with well furnished kitchen. Excellent welcome pack. Great shower with lots of hot water. Have stayed in Amble Watch (upatairs) their other property and this is just as good. Very happy with our stay

Very good for dog walkers the cottage was one of the best we have stayed my only problem was the garden even though it was enclosed was no mention of sit been shared because of access to another property but the cottage was still very good
