With fabulous river views from one side of the house, particularly from the pretty patio garden and castle views from the other side, Waterside is undeniably a contemporary retreat. This delightful holiday home caters particularly well for children, with a variety of baby equipment, toys and games. To help cater for every guests comfort, this property doesn’t accept pets, to help reduce the risk for allergy sufferers. In a small select development, the location will delight all ages.
This pretty village is the jewel of Northumberland’s crown and is prefectly located as a base for you to explore all the attractions. Dominated by its fine castle ruins and riverside walks from the front door, Warkworth has plenty of friendly village pubs, select shops and galleries so you can leave the car behind. Less than a mile from a sandy bay which stretches from Amble to Alnmouth in aonb. Set on the coastal route providing over 20 miles of golden sands. Alnwick Castle, famous for ’Harry Potter’s Hogwarts’ and ’Braveheart’, and the Duchess’ enchanting gardens is just 6 miles. Boat trips to Coquet Island to view the bird sanctuaries from Amble is only 2 miles. Alnmouth, with its Ballamory style houses, beautiful beach and silver sands is only 3 miles. Visitors to Waterside and to Warkworth are sure to want to return to this real home away from home, time and time again. Shops 600 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Waterside is a fantastic holiday home, comfortably accomodating 6 adults across 4 bedrooms. It has everything you need for relaxing holiday and the welcome hamper of wine, coffee and snacks was a lovely surprise. The patio overlooking the river is as good as it looks in the pictures and we were lucky enough to eat meals there, even in September. The neighourhood is very peaceful and Warkworth village is beautiful, the immdeiate neighbours are very pleasant stopping to chat on a couple of occassions.Depending on your needs the couple of things I suggest looking out for are that the bedrooms and spacious sitting room are on the two upper floors which can mean lots of stair climbing, the road outside is quite narrow making parking on the drive more difficult particularly if you have a long vehicle as we did (5.2m) and some of the single mattresses are somewhat soft. That said none of these spoilt the amazing time we had a Waterside.

View and outdoor space perfect for quiet morning coffee, lazy lunches and dinners. Ideally situated for walks to Amble and Warkworth beach. Excellent accommodation for 2couples.

For the third year in a row we have enjoyed our family holiday at Waterside. From knights in the castle to days at the beach (and the ‘slots’) and a visit to Howick for Nana and Grandad whilst the younger ones enjoyed Alnwick Gardens and Lilidoro there was so much to do. And the weather was good too!
