The cottage forms part of a small group of dwellings nestling on a quiet lane and only a short walk into the village. George Stephenson birthplace is within the village, one of the early railway pioneers, now owned by the National Trust. The village is on the north bank of the Tyne River with beautiful riverside walks and cycle routes. A great destination for those who enjoy cycling, walking and adventure.
