We enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft. Although quite close to the road, you couldn't hear the traffic. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped for our stay. Yes, the upstairs ceilings are low, and there are beams that you need to be aware of if you are tall, but we managed with no banged heads. The Hayloft is ideally located for visiting attractions along the North Yorkshire coast.

Lovely cottage in great location. Great village pub opposite that does food and bus stop that runs regularly to Whitby. Cottage is clean and well equipped although a welcome pack would have been a nice touch as no shop in the village. Quiet location and great for surrounding areas and coast.There is a low beam on the first floor so if you are over 6ft might want to bear this in mind! Shower pressure isn’t great but adequate for a few days stay. Just Big enough fur 4 adults but any more would be a bit of a squeeze . Overall we would visit again.

The cottage is in a lovely location. It has a lovely pub just across the road and a short drive from many of the coastal towns. It has a beautiful view from the back and an enclosed garden. It was well equipped and mostly clean (uncovered fluff/dust under the sofa) and no signs of being dog friendly (in a good way, no doggy smell that some pet friendly properties can have). There are a couple of things that let it down. The thermostat on the top bedroom radiator didn't work, so the room was far too hot if the heating was on and the pillows need replacing. They are lumpy and uncomfortable. As a result, didn't get the best sleep. Would have definitely scored higher if not the heat and pillows.
