Sunnydene is a beautifully presented, cosy cottage in Staithes, highly praised for its cleanliness, charm, and excellent location near the harbour and village amenities. Guests consistently highlight its welcoming atmosphere, well-equipped interiors, and thoughtful touches, making it a favourite for repeat visitors. While minor suggestions include updates to some kitchenware, outside furniture, and the addition of a fan or washing machine, these do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience. The cottage is ideal for couples and families seeking a relaxing retreat by the sea.
The vast majority of reviews describe the cottage as spotlessly clean, pristine, and well cared for. Only one or two minor mentions of pots needing washing or pillows being lumpy, but these are rare exceptions.
Guests consistently praise the cottage's superb location, close to the harbour, village centre, and local pubs. The only minor drawback mentioned is the steep hill for parking, but this is widely accepted as part of the village's charm.
The cottage is frequently described as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with many guests returning year after year. A few minor suggestions include a fan for the top bedroom and updated pillows, but overall comfort is highly rated.
Facilities are generally excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful amenities. Some guests noted the cooker and outside furniture could be updated, and a washing machine would be appreciated for longer stays, but these are minor points.
Guests often mention thoughtful touches such as a complimentary bottle of wine and good communication from the owner. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed with every stay.

We really enjoyed our week's stay at sunnydene. The cottage is in a great location just off the main street. The views are amazing and I could watch the tide coming in as I washed up. The cottage was very clean and tidy and modern and we would recommend staying here and hopefully we will stay again if it is available. The wine was also a lovely gift thanks.
