Salty Towers is a spacious and well-liked apartment with stunning sea views, appreciated for its cleanliness and prime location close to the beach and local amenities. Guests enjoy the comfortable surroundings and the property's potential, despite ongoing renovations and some maintenance issues.
Guests consistently describe the apartment as clean and tidy, with only minor issues related to ongoing renovations affecting the cleanliness in some areas.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, town centre, and local attractions, making it an ideal spot for guests.
The apartment is generally found to be comfortable and cosy, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds, although some guests noted issues with single beds and cheap bedding.
While the apartment is well-equipped, there are comments about the need for sharper knives, more cutlery, and some cosmetic repairs. Ongoing external renovations have also impacted the experience for some guests.
While some guests appreciated complimentary items such as wine and chocolates, there are not enough references to consistently assess the thoughtfulness of the hosts, and such gifts should not be expected on every stay.
This beautifully presented first floor apartment has been completely renovated in 2021 to welcome you to an idyllic stay on the coast. Perched up on the cliff top in the popular destination of Saltburn-by-the-sea.. All on the

Saltburn is stunning, with a glorious, long sandy beach, an iconic Victorian pier, as well as lots of quirky bars, restaurants and independent shops. Take in the views on a stroll along the promenade, you can travel in style to both the promenade and the pier by using the oldest operating water-balance cliff lift in the country! Saltburn is a surfer’s paradise and no matter what the season, you will see figures out at sea riding the waves.
Beside the pier you will find a local surf school where you can have lessons and hire equipment so you can join in the fun. On calm days when the sea is smooth you’ll also get paddle-boarders, there’s nothing like taking in the sunset views whilst out on the water. For younger family members they are sure to enjoy splashing in the sea, or flying a kite as they race barefooted along the sand. There are arcades, as well as a popular fish and chip take away and ice cream parlour beside the shore.
A popular inn along the beach is still famous for its link to pirates and smugglers, and you can get a feel for this as you admire the cliffs that surround the bay, which once had hidden smugglers tunnels. Along the Heritage Coastline there are beautiful beaches, picturesque villages and wonderful scenic walks. Staithes, Whitby, Runswick and Robin Hood’s Bay are all just a short drive away, and for keen walkers, you can follow the Cleveland Way along the cliff tops connecting them all. You are also surrounded by the North York Moors National Park, which has breath taking scenery as well as a network of footpaths and cycle routes. This is a wonderful destination all year round. Beach ¼ mile.
