Great shower, very comfortable settees and beds. 5 minute drive into Sedgefield for shopping and eating out and our hosts were brilliant. The best holiday by far.

We chose this accommodation as we had a family wedding at Bradbury Glade but we were also central to family living in nearby Hartlepool and Consett. The Byre exceeded my expectations and as previously mentioned it really is incredible in person. Such a glorious kitchen and I did brave baking in the aga. The hosts were very welcoming and all the little extra touches were very thoughtful and much appreciated. Waking each day to glorious sunshine and peace all around was just perfect. A wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of busy life and I wasn't quite ready to return home. Our dog Evie absolutely loved the space to run around and was getting braver and investigating the cows in the next field! We will definitely be back and already looking forward to our next visit.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how much more incredible the place is in person compared to the photos online. The images simply don't do it justice. The Byre is absolutely large, with impressively high ceilings in the kitchen and master bedroom that add to the spacious and luxurious feel of the place. Each room is beautifully furnished, blending modern country comfort with the charm of original features and beautiful conversions. It's clear that a lot of thought and care went into the design and decoration, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and welcoming. What truly made the stay exceptional, however, were the hosts, William and Nikki. They were fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. Their warmth and hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel right at home from the start. The setting of The Byre is equally stunning. Nestled in a beautiful, peaceful location, it's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In conclusion, my stay at The Byre was nothing short of amazing. The combination of the beautiful property, superb furnishings, and outstanding hosts made for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special place to stay.
