Guests are overwhelmingly pleased with Legh Oaks Farm, praising its spaciousness, cleanliness, and homely feel. The property's well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms with en suites, and the added luxury of a hot tub are frequently commended. The beautiful decoration and attention to detail contribute to a special and memorable stay, with many expressing a desire to return.
The majority of reviews highlight the property's cleanliness, with guests often finding it spotless upon arrival. A few minor concerns were raised about specific items, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive perception of cleanliness.
While the reviews mention the property's peacefulness and proximity to local amenities, there is insufficient detail to accurately assess guests' satisfaction with the location. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.
Comfort is consistently rated highly, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the living spaces warm and inviting. The ample space and en suite bathrooms for each bedroom add to the overall comfort experienced by visitors.
Facilities are generally well-received, especially the kitchen and hot tub. However, some guests noted maintenance issues such as garden furniture needing repair and minor wear and tear. These comments suggest room for improvement in maintaining the property's facilities.
Guests appreciate the arrival necessities provided, such as coffee and dishwasher tablets. While some guests were delighted by the presence of a Christmas tree during their stay, it is important to note that such personal touches, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every visit.

The only downside was the British summer but we still enjoyed the garden and the grandchildren couldn't keep out of the hot tub.

This was our second visit â the first being two and a half years ago. Knowing the property, my wife and I arrived before the rest of our party as we needed to get the house ready for a special birthday celebration. The rooms were very clean with many things as before but there was a significant problem with the freezer in the kitchen. We had brought food with us which we needed to quickly freeze after our journey. However the freezer was unusable because of dirty solidified ice and huge bags of ice cubes welded to the shelves and compartments. My wife had to semi defrost the freezer rather than complete more urgent tasks in order to get any of our food into the freezer. This took her over of 3 hours during which time the rest of the family arrived including four grandchildren, all 5 or under. The freezer had not been inspected for some time as the build-up of ice and a broken flap to the bottom compartment hadnât just happened recently. The only solution is probably for the owners to buy a new self-defrosting freezer or for the cleaning staff to defrost the current freezer in the 5 hour window they have between visitors but taht may not be feasible. This was our main complaint about the property this time, but it has to be said although we tried both the mobile number provided by the owner plus a Sykes contact number that evening, neither produced a reply. The information left for visitors is insufficient or inaccurate with too much included about another property abroad rather than helping someone navigate and feel at ease in High Legh. That was unhelpful but I need to mention to you that the quality of various things had noticeably deteriorated since we first visited when we felt like we were like the very first visitors. Back in 2021 it was immaculate and so smart. Sadly, I guess other visitors donât treat the possessions of others as we do â we always respect a holiday let as we would our own home. For your (and the owners) information a few things we noticed during the week that certainly need remedial action/attention are ⢠Our grandchildren aged 2-5 were at risk of being badly stung by nettles in retrieving balls from behind the basketball hoop etc. For families this is unacceptable and needs addressing immediately. ⢠The foot of the garden table at the bottom of the garden has rusted away making it quite unstable. ⢠The boules court needs a good weed - it looks very tatty and not liek the pictures. ⢠The edge of the cover to the hot tub is ripped in places where people havenât folded it back with care and in the right way ⢠One settee in the lounge has a broken leg plus the legs of the various drinks tables are very wonky. We actually feel rather sorry for the owners as a fantastic property is now showing signs of aging and misuse by visitors but frankly they need to think about reinvesting in it to restore it to its former glory.

Comfort, luxury, peace and quiet and plenty of social space. Couldnât fault it. Have already recommended it to some other people I know. We would definitely return.
