The Lake District National park is just 10 miles away. Keen golfers will find some good courses at Silloth which is a traditional seaside town (7.5 miles away) or Allonby beach is 4 miles with a selection of seaside shops, you can also pick up the West Coast Cycleway from here. Maryport with its harbour is 9 miles away, there is an Aquarium, indoor go carting and click n climb centre here. There is also a superb indoor caving system featuring over 75 metres of exploring, discovering, squeezing, clambering, climbing and crawling at the Wave Centre. The 5th century Roman Fort and Museum are also a great day out for the history fans at your party. As you walk into the hallway of the former farmhouse, you have room to store your coats and shoes. You will find two bedrooms off the hall, a double and a single. There is also a bathroom with a separate bath, shower, and WC. The kitchen is off the hall, it is bright and well equipped with a small informal table where you can enjoy a coffee and catch up while cooking. There is an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and coffee lovers will enjoy the stovetop coffee pot and milk frother. Off the kitchen, there is a formal dining room where the whole party can enjoy breakfast or a nice evening meal while catching up on the day s events. Head back through the kitchen you will go through the lobby and past the front door and staircase. The lounge offers a real cosy, relaxed atmosphere with a feature fireplace, and comfortable seating around a Smart TV. The cottage dates back to 1770 and features traditional steep cottage stairs. On the first floor, you will find a further two bedrooms, a pretty single and double bedroom with wooden floors and exposed stone wall and feature fireplace. At the end of the hallway, you will find the second bathroom with a bath and WC. Heading outside you will find a front and rear garden, the front garden offers early morning sun and is the perfect spot to sit out with a coffee first thing, the rear garden has a lawn overlooking the fields and neighbouring horses and there is a patio with furniture to sit out and enjoy al fresco dinner on a summers evening.
