About this property

Enjoy a family holiday to this beautiful three-bedroom holiday home in Steel Green, Cumbria. This is an idyllic location, set on the edge of a village with watersports and a bar, and just a stone's throw away from a nearby beach. The open-plan space is perfect for families to enjoy time together, and there are off-road parking spaces for two cars. Step inside to the living area, a bright and airy space that has a corner sofa to relax and unwind with a cup of tea. It has a smart TV with a DVD player, electric flame-effect fire, and a kitchen with a gas cooker, microwave and a fridge with an ice box to keep your beverages cool. When meals are served, gather at the dining table with seating for six or head out onto the decking to savour the views of Black Combe and the rolling hills. When the evening draws to an end, retire inside and take a hot shower before taking your pick between three bedrooms to rest your head. The first bedroom is a well-presented double room, while the second and third bedrooms are twin rooms with a convenient Jack-and-Jill-style entrance to the shower room. Awaken with a steaming cup of coffee at the picnic bench as the foodie of the group prepares a home-cooked breakfast. Take advantage of the on-site facilities with The Ski Bar to grab a fresh pint and on-site watersports for a day filled with fun. Explore the National Trust - Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve, or take a walk on the Haverigg Beach. Visit Broughton In Furness, a market town, which is home to the Swinside Stone Circle, a beautiful Bronze Age structure that is one of the best-preserved in the country. The town also has a number of excellent restaurants and bars, including The Black Cock Inn and the Old Kings Head, both of which are great places to enjoy a pint or a meal. Venture further afield to Lake Windermere; here you can find the world-famous World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, as well as the National Trust's Hill Top. Plus, if you're feeling adventurous, why not try out the Treetop Lake District's Treetop Trek or Treetop Nets? All this and more awaits at The Maples.

Haverigg is a settlement on the south-west coast of Cumbria, England, that was traditionally part of the county of Cumberland. It is located near the mouth of the Duddon Estuary, a protected area with valuable bird and wildlife habitat. Haverigg features a large, peaceful Blue Flag beach. A barrier with a lighthouse that protects Hodbarrow Lagoon, which is part of the Hodbarrow rspb Reserve, is also accessible. The Lakes, the Lake District, and the 1000ft high fell of Black Combe are all conveniently accessible from this tranquil village on the west coast. The village has a variety of lodging options as well as a variety of eateries and pubs.
