The very hub of Chestnuts is the sociable living/dining/kitchen space. The stylish modern kitchen caters for the serious cook amongst whilst your friends sit and relax round the large dining table! Bi-fold doors lead from this stunning open plan living space allowing the ’outside’ in. With direct access to the garden dining al fresco on a fine day is perfect.
Chestnuts sits on the edge on the little village of Moorhouse where you can stroll along to the lovely local pub and enjoy a meal or just a drink or two. Close to the border city of Carlisle the perfect location for exploring not only the wonderful Cumbrian countryside but only a short trip over the border into Scotland. With quiet country lanes surrounding you, Chestnuts is ideal for cycling and walking particularly as Hadrian’s Wall passes by so why not wander along some of this iconic landmark.
The stunning Lake District National Park is truly not to be missed while staying at Chestnuts and is only a short drive away where you can enjoy the majestic hills and stunning lakes.

Fantastic property in an ideal spot for visiting the northern lakes. Stone throw away from Carlisle and only 30 mins away from Penrith. The Royal Oak pub around the corner is great, I wish we'd been there to try out their Sunday lunch!As for the house itself I think you'll find it difficult to find something better at this price for it's size and quality, it's much bigger than it looks on the pictures and even with 8 of us there is plenty of space in every single room. Honestly can't fault it...
