Ellerton Croft is a delightful country house set on a working farm in the heart of the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Ellerton Croft has been completely renovated and upgraded in Spring 2022 and is the ideal place for all the family to get away and enjoy. Beautifully decorated throughout, the Sitting Room has patio doors opening onto the garden and for the chillier evenings there is a lovely woodburner. The large family kitchen/dining is the hub of the house where all the family can gather to enjoy a meal reminiscing over your day’s activities. Or why not just enjoy time chilling in the hot tub perhaps with a glass of wine!!
Ellerton Croft is ideally located and very easily accessed from both the north and the south making it the perfect place for friends to meet up and enjoy the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. From Ellerton Croft you can enjoy all the delights of the Lake District National Park from the majestic mountains to the glorious Lakes, the Eden Valley and Hadrian’s Wall as well as a trip over the border to Scotland. Close to the border city of Carlisle with its historic Castle and popular market town of Penrith with its many independent shops and restaurants.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Ellerton Croft this Christmas. It was everything we wanted- a lovely ‘out of the way’ location, really peaceful and chilled, where we could go for walks and then return to a beautiful cottage and either relax in the hot tub or chill by a lovely log fire. We booked a Christmas dinner no problem as the kitchen was a great size with great amenities. It was also superb value for money, and we would 100% book again.Our only feedback would be that we would have loved there to be some more decorations since we were staying over Christmas.

Lovely place to stay for a quiet week away. Nice folder full of things to do although the walk around the farm was not quite posible from the instructions left- gates locked/maybe they've changed the layout due to work going on in the next field. Not a lot of wood left for the log burner, hot tub was fantastic- plenty of towels. Basic cutlery- the kitchen looked very modern otherwise. Shower presure not up to much but was ok for quick showers. We had bad weather and the garden did flood- meant for a bit of a mucky dog nipping out for toilet breaks- thankfully we brought her own towel to clean up the mud. The little play room with toys and board games was great for our little one. kept her entertained. We really enjoyed a relaxing week away from home in the peace and quiet.

What a lovey holiday home. It's very clean and uncluttered. We loved seeing the pig on the farm opposite, the big table for family meals and, of course, the hot tub. The back porch is great for separating the house from pre/post tub showers and cleaning the mucky dog. The garden was great for the dog and the kids. I use many holiday homes for work, but I've never seen good quality and complete kids toys. We had loads of fun.
