It was nice lodge but a couple of issues with. The glass gate is broken so hard to open and close as it's heavy to lift up. Door handle missing from the inside of the back door so unable to open from the inside.Wallpaper peeling off in places and could it could do with a deep clean. Especially the shower in the en-suite has a lots of mould in it.It's in a great spot in the Lake District but it is directly next to a busy main road which is loud if your not use to being so close traffic.Loved the dog walking area which is fenced off so dog can have a little run before bed.

we loved our little hoilday. if your after peace and being away from noise then it's nice you also have a garden/Cafe centre right by you that does beautiful food. cockermouth is very scenic some good shops and walks by the river all dog friendly too . Also not far from the lakes the drive to the lakes is stunning and must see at dust. Right our caravan was alittle run down the glass gate really needs fixing and the wallpaper is alittle tatty and peeling off in places and the wifi is shocking .but is was clean and nice otherwise

Lodge overall was good and homely. Just a few niggles. In the master bedroom the wallpaper is peeling off the wall. The toilet flushes are not strong in both the bathrooms. Gate is faulty but can remain closed. There was a number of toiletries left in the cupboards and bathroom cabinets. It felt a little odd, like we were stepping into someone’s home.The site was beautiful and well maintained. The dog walking field was an added bonus and the other guests were friendly.. Overall a good value holiday on the edge of the lakes.
