Sitting in a small hamlet close to Cockermouth (3 miles), escape to this home and enjoy your amazing luxury getaway. Cockermouth has plenty to choose from with its pubs, arts, and heritage attractions. Take in the sea air with a walk along the sandy beaches at Maryport (4 miles) or discover the Aquarium at the marina. The adventurous type will enjoy the mountain bike trails in Whinlatter Forest (9.5 miles) or picturesque ambles around Loweswater (10 miles) or Buttermere (15 miles). Bassenthwaite Lake is the most northerly lake in the region and is a great place to head out on the water. On the northern shore of the lake, the Lakes Distillery offers tasting tours and is also home to a bistro and a group of resident alpacas that visitors are allowed to hand feed.
Walking into the front door of this luxury cottage you will soon be in awe of the amazing design and attention to detail which is throughout the property. Open-plan living is at its finest here with the lounge/kitchen/diner space which is the best part of this lovely house. Everyone can enjoy the space together with the kids sitting on the sofa watching their favourite programme on the Smart TV while the parents create a family feast in the modern kitchen/diner with island seating for mealtimes and all the mod con appliances you need. There is another lounge area with comfortable seating and a 65'' smart TV so you can watch a family movie together and relax. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, additional under-counter fridge, freezer and separate WC, this area is a great spot for your four-legged friend to enjoy a good night’s sleep. There is also an additional WC in the hallway. Head up the oak staircase with a glass balustrade onto the first floor, there is a lovely seating area for those who want some time to relax with a book in peace. The master bedroom offers lovely views over the fields and beyond to the hills from the Juliet balcony with a king-size bed and en suite bathroom. There are two double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, and a twin room with zip-and-link beds that can be made into a super-king-size on request, and an en-suite shower room. There is also a games room with table tennis, darts and a pool table to enjoy.
The patio area is straight out of the open-plan living space and is great for any time of day to sit out and enjoy a coffee or something more. There is also a lawned garden which is great for the kids and your four-legged friends to enjoy as well as a BBQ. You can store your bike or kayak in the garage. On-site parking for four cars.
