The lodge as a whole was spotless and you can tell fairly new. There is a good secure decking area to make sure your pet doesn’t escape. The hot was a first for us- we’ve never had one like that before. And to be completely honest, it was rubbish. We could only use it once because the heat dropped down to 20degrees and it took 24hours to heat back up again. It was very odd and I do question the commercial use of it. The lodge was nicely styled and very well equipped. There are no tvs in the bedrooms but there are sockets in the walls like the may well be in the future? The kitchen is large with microwave, dishwashers and there is a washing machine in the entrance way- always a bonus. Beds were quite basic, but comfortable enough and allowed for a good sleep. There is plenty of storage in the bedrooms which is great if you’re staying for than a few days. There are no hair dryers in the bedrooms, I know it’s not advertised but sometimes it can be taken for granted that there will be one.There is an iron and ironing board and clothes drier. Although the majority of the cabin is carpeted, there is no hoover. There’s a brush and dustpan. There was a lot of people staying with dogs (as were we) which was good to see, but I only ever seen one other dog on a lead. Our neighbours dog kept wandering around on its own up to our cabin, making our own dog react and at times we would have to keep the curtains closed. Maybe a gentle reminder for people to keep their own dogs on a lead whilst walking around the park and to not allow the to roam freely. Overall we did have a good weekend but just those small issues grated a little.

Great lodge with all mod cons comfy beds and wonderful hot tub. Staff are friendly and nothing too much for them to help out with quick responses. Restaurant on site with good selection of food and drinks that are reasonably priced. Staff at restaurant are polite and work well. Would recommend this lodge and site.
