A splendid semi-detached house overlooking the river, on the edge of the pretty village of Cark in Cartmel, two miles from Cartmel itself. The small village of Cark in Cartmel lies just a couple of miles from its more famous neighbour, Cartmel, in lovely Lakeland countryside. Cark is a stop on the Furness railway, and visitors to the village will enjoy a stroll to the local beach, or a quiet pint in one of the two friendly pubs. Holker Hall house and deer park are just a short walk from Cark. Cartmel is renowned for its racecourse, and the town is well served with a selection of shops, traditional pubs and a Michelin starred restaurant. There is so much to enjoy in the area, from country walks to boat trips on Windermere or a trip to the seaside resort of Grange over Sands. A great Lakeland base for your holiday.

The house has everything you'll need for a home to home experience. Lovely, comfy beds with TV's in every bedroom, some of them smart for your apps. Kitchen is well equipped, although a pizza cutter and tongs would be a good addition. Great sized dinning table in a very spacious room with large sofas and big TV with sky. Second living room on the other side was a winner with the kids for their evening movies. The location is brilliant. No more than a 30 minute drive to lakes, beaches, forests and mountains. So much on your doorstep, a week is literally not enough. Thoroughly recommend a boat trip on Windermere, meal at Coniston Inn and the local fish and chips shop. We never go to the same place twice but I'd consider this property again sometime in the future.

It was in a lovely village which was spotless and the locals were very friendly. The only problem we had was that although there was a lot of taxi companies around we found it very difficult to get one. Other than that the accommodation was really nice, plenty of space and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. I had to contact the owner once Agnes he got back to me within half an hour. Would definitely visit again. Thank you.
