Belah Barn is a beautifully converted cottage set in a wonderfully remote and tranquil location, surrounded by stunning countryside and working farmland. Guests consistently praise the peaceful setting, lovely decor, and breathtaking views, making it ideal for those seeking a rural escape. The property is comfortable and spacious, with friendly local people and plenty of scenic walks nearby. While some minor maintenance and cleanliness issues were noted, these did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the stay. The owner is responsive and helpful, ensuring guests feel welcome and supported throughout their visit.
Most guests found the cottage reasonably clean and comfortable, though a few mentioned issues such as dirty crockery, unwashed net curtains, and bathroom windowsills needing attention. These were minor and did not significantly impact the overall experience.
The remote, peaceful location with stunning views is a major highlight for guests, who appreciate the seclusion and proximity to nature. The only minor drawback is the need to navigate farm gates and a longer drive to shops, but this is generally seen as part of the charm.
Guests describe the cottage as warm, spacious, and comfortable, with lovely decor and a layout that maximises the views. Some minor issues with showers were reported, but overall comfort remains high.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and beautiful living spaces. However, some guests noted maintenance issues such as weak showers, missing kitchen items, and lack of clear instructions for rubbish disposal and the log burner.
The owner is described as responsive and apologetic when issues arise, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction. However, there is no mention of welcome gifts or starter packs, and some guests noted a lack of information or guidance in the property.

the house was a described it was comfortable and lovely home. it was unfortunate the bed to open 5 farm gates wasn't in the description. we also had difficulty with one shower not working and the other one temperature was temperamental. in saying that the contrlact Michelle responded swiftly but due to bank holidays a plumber wasn't able to call until we had newer. this didn't stop us enjoying the holiday.
