Guests say

Eller Riggs Cottage is highly praised for its comfortable beds, stunning location, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the tranquility, modern facilities, and thoughtful touches like a welcome bottle of wine. The property serves as an excellent base for exploring the Lake District, with easy access to Ulverston and surrounding attractions.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-presented. However, a few mentioned areas that could benefit from more thorough cleaning, such as dust on blinds and a stained mattress protector, which slightly impacts the overall cleanliness score.

The cottage's location is consistently lauded for its peaceful rural setting and proximity to Ulverston, the Lakes, and beaches. The scenic views and quiet surroundings contribute to a high score in this category.

Guests frequently mention the comfortable beds and the cosy atmosphere of the cottage. Some guests noted the mattresses and pillows were too soft for their preference, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The property is equipped with modern appliances and a powerful shower, which guests appreciate. However, some guests suggested improvements such as additional kitchenware and better maintenance of certain areas. The lack of mobile phone reception was noted, but Wi-Fi availability mitigated this issue.

Many guests were touched by the thoughtful gestures of the hosts, including welcome gifts such as wine. While these gifts are warmly received, it's important to note that such amenities are subject to the hosts' discretion and may not be provided for every stay.

The weather was beautiful and we managed to fit in some treks up the local hills. We would love to go back.

Keith and Loretta were extremely responsive but never there when you want some space. A fabulous location on a hill looking over the Southern Lakes. I’d highly recommend this cottage
