Truly welcoming from the moment you step through the door, the cottage blends timeless country charm with plenty of colour and unique touches throughout. On the ground floor, the cosy lounge has books on the shelves, art on the walls and a Smart TV, as well as a wood burner to warm those winter evenings. The bright kitchen is next door, boasting an antique butcher’s block on wheels as an island unit and well equipped in general for creating tasty holiday meals. On the first floor, the bedroom has a gorgeous metal bed and built-in wardrobes, and there’s also a compact office with a desk and chair for anyone who needs to catch up on some admin. On this floor you’ll also find the bathroom, while up on the top floor is another treat: a hideaway snug in the loft, where there’s a wood-burner-effect electric fire and another Smart TV. If you fancy grilling some local delicacies there’s a BBQ on the front patio, where you can dine in the fresh air. At the back of the house there’s space to store muddy clothes and a handy shed with laundry facilities.

Explore the diverse Barrow coastline, from sandy beaches to areas of natural beauty, by foot or by bike – the nearest coast is just 3.5 miles from the cottage. The historic town of Barrow-in-Furness is just 4 miles, where there’s a great choice of shops, pubs and places to eat, and South Walney Nature Reserve, where you can see grey seals, is 11.5 miles.
