Carnforth is the type of location everyone has heard of, and many wish to discover, because it is situated just off the M6 and 20 miles south of the gorgeous Lake District. Located near Morecambe Bay's northern tip, not far from Lancaster's historic district, not far from the winding roads of the Yorkshire Dales, and not far at all from the Lake District, it is centrally located. Greenlands Farm Village is another popular destination in the area, and it features shops selling handmade goods and locally made food, as well as a children's section, a café, and a garden centre. Beautiful Morecambe Bay may be found close to the north of Carnforth, with its tidal dunes along its expansive shoreline. Beautiful scenery and abundant opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife make this part of Lancashire a must-visit. Keep in mind that Kirkby Lonsdale, a charming historic market town, is nearby.

One or two small bits in need of a little maintence, however these were minor and had no impact on the overall quality of our stay. We stayed 2 nights, but would have liked longer and would definitely return. Great property/location and excellent value for money.

We did a tour of the lodge. On inspection we found that neither of the beds had a pop up TV. There was a TV in the bunk bed room but had no cable to plug in and was not connected to aerial socket. The owner was phoned as this was not what I had booked. He explained that the TV's had been removed as they kept being broken. Fair enough but it is advertised as having televisions in the rooms. I was informed that it was Sykes problem for not correcting on their description and everywhere else didn't have that description any longer. On searching I found that at least 3 other sites had the same description that there were TVs in the base of the beds. So the information I was told by the owners was incorrect.

I contacted the owner during our stay have contacted sykes on several occasions but have yet to receive any correspondence which is very disappointing considering the amount we paid for our holiday
