We didn't need the log burner as would have been too warm! Short walk to the village with lovely pubs and farm shop. Bathrooms all modern and spotless. Kitchen very well equipped and initial supplies of dishwasher tablets, tea/coffee/milk and biscuits were much appreciated. Sociable house having open plan kitchen/diner/lounge area. All bedrooms had large comfortable beds and high quality linens. Plenty of parking available. Very responsive owner with any queries. Could not fault this property - highly recommended .

Chipping is a lovely quiet rural village with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep. I would recommend the circular walk up church raike to the top of Beacon Fell = approx 7 miles. St Bartholomews historical Church is also well worth a visit there are plentyof places to visit locally includingthe historicmarket market town of Garstang. A lovely part of Lancs. Could be improved by providing a washing line or tumble dryer.

Handy to walk into Chipping to pubs and cafes, and local walks. A good central spot for exploring the Trough of Bowland. A welcome pint of milk to make a cup of tea would have been a nice touch, but nothing at all was provided. The boiler is annoying and wakes you up at 6 a.m. and keeps going late at night after 11pm. Oddly, there is no mirror in the main bathroom, which makes ablutions difficult. 13.5 tog duvets were far too warm for September, but no other bed linen was provided. Someone turned up to mow the lawn and weed the garden at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Nice to have a washing machine, but a decent sized airer would have been helpful. The owner lives next door, but didnât make any contact with us, other than when we text about key collection/departure. A good sized house, with plenty of facilities, and central for exploring and walking the local area,
