The pretty village of Bolton-by-Bowland is just a mile away, offering two village greens and a local pub. Pendle Hill and the historical story of the Pendle Witches can be reached within 20 minutes. The Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland is fast becoming a popular gastronomic destination too, with many great pubs and restaurants serving local cuisine within a short distance from Corgill Farm Cottages. The many picturesque rural villages within the Trough of Bowland including Slaidburn, Newton and Downham, to name just a few, can all be reached within 15 minutes, and all have a village pub. The popular market town of Clitheroe, with its castle, many individual shops, bars and restaurants, is just 6¼ miles away. For cyclists, Gisburn Forest Mountain Biking Centre is only 3½ miles away and has been featured in many mountain biking books and magazines.
The beauty of this location allows visitors to explore not just Lancashire, but also the Yorkshire Dales, with the market town of Skipton, the ‘Gateway to the Dales’, located just 15 miles away. The Old Dairy was a brilliant choice for us to enjoy a family get together to celebrate a special birthday. The layout was very good as each room had its own en-suite. The place was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We had a dog with us and it was easy to keep him in the enclosed yard and on the ground floor. The location is wonderful with many good walks from the door and an added bonus was the amazing garden centre and cafe literally down the lane. The owner. Rosemary, was very helpful and on hand if there were any queries. Overall, we could not have chosen better and will certainly visit again if visiting this beautiful part of the country.

We loved the cottage and the area. There was plenty of room and we found it warm and very comfortable. The cottage was well equipped. Views were lovely and it was easy to get around the area. Highly recommend

Hello great place few things need looking at toilet seat needs fitting in down stairs toilet. water exchange in down stairs bathroom needs fixing does not work . The showers upstairs need cleaning mound in them and plates need to be checked and cleaned after each guest and cups and glasses just needs attention to details put a great house lovely setting 🙂
