There’s also a really lovely, separate dining room seating six for gathering together in the evening. Upstairs on the first floor you’ll find all three bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. These include two king-sizes, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as singles and one double. The stylish family shower room is also up here. Soak up the sunshine and dine out in the fresh air of the leafy garden on warm days. There is parking for two cars at the cottage.

Venture just 2 miles from the cottage to reach the shores of Carsington Water, with its opportunities for walking, fishing and taking part in water sports. Adventurous visitors can also hire bikes to follow scenic trails. Walk 0.5 miles to cross into the Peak District, with its beautiful landscapes. Head deeper into the national park to climb up to mysterious Minninglow, a neolithic burial site 4.5 miles from the cottage, or to have a day out at Chatsworth House, 15.5 miles away.
