Guests say

The Catlow is a well-appointed, spacious cottage in the tranquil village of Parwich, praised for its peaceful location and high standard of comfort. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, the generous welcome basket, and the proximity to the local pub. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the southern Peak District, with plenty of walks and cycling routes nearby. The enclosed garden is a hit with pet owners, and the cottage's thoughtful touches contribute to a homely feel.

Most guests found The Catlow to be extremely clean and tidy, with high-quality furnishings. One review mentioned pet hair and a lack of cleaning tools, but this seems to be an isolated comment amidst overall positive feedback.

The location is consistently praised for its beauty, tranquility, and convenience for walking and exploring the Peak District. The proximity to a friendly local pub and the village's charm contribute to the high score.

Guests are very satisfied with the comfort provided by The Catlow, mentioning the high standard of furniture, bedding, and the overall spaciousness of the property.

The cottage is well-equipped with a kitchen, dining area, and garden, and guests are happy with the amenities provided. However, there are a few mentions of maintenance issues such as a non-working cooker extractor and empty air fresheners, which slightly lower the score.

The welcome basket and additional touches like a variety of coffee pods are frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests. While these gestures are highly valued, it is noted that such offerings are subject to change and not guaranteed.

This cottage is the best we have booked in the last few years with our old rescue dog. Ideal and parking is great. When we arrived I was thrilled because some cottages are slightly disappointing. Fab pub so close too which was very useful for meeting friends during my 80th birthday week. THANK YOU.
