Guests say

Bookkeepers Place in Bakewell is a well-regarded holiday rental, praised for its excellent central location, quietness despite being near a main road, and the convenience of private parking. The property is described as clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a special mention of a peaceful terrace and secure storage for bicycles. Guests appreciate the responsive and helpful hosts, though one review noted a decline in cleanliness and some found the furnishings firm.

Most guests found Bookkeepers Place to be clean and comfortable. However, one repeat visitor mentioned a decline in cleanliness standards, noting crumbs in the toaster and the need to clean the hob and fridge upon arrival. This isolated feedback suggests a generally high standard with room for improvement.

The location of Bookkeepers Place is consistently praised for being central, convenient, and quiet. Its proximity to amenities, the added bonus of private parking, and the ease of exploring Bakewell and the Peak District contribute to its high rating.

Guests describe the flat as comfortable, cosy, and well-presented. However, a few guests found the bed and sofa to be on the firmer side, and the pillows too hard, which suggests that while comfort is generally high, it may not suit all preferences.

The property is noted for being well-equipped, with a special mention of a useful utility room for bicycles. The presence of a private balcony and the overall maintenance of the flat are positives, though one guest mentioned a non-working light on the staircase, indicating minor maintenance issues.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. As such, we do not have enough information to provide a score in this category.

It was the 4th time of staying at Bookkeepers Place and we thought that the standard of cleanliness and gone down. The toaster was full of crumbs, we had to clean the hob and the fridge was cleaner when we left than when we arrived. Also the grill pan had to be washed before use.

Right from the first booking, this was a great experience. Once we arrived, we were delighted to see where we were staying, which was exactly as it looked in the pictures and description. Such a beautiful place to stay, and was a great location for visiting other places too. Nice place to wander the streets, and nice shops to visit. Would definitely stay again, without doubt.
