This was our 4th time here, twice this year in fact. Our dog is petrified of fireworks and this place is remote enough not to hear many at all, this New Year we heard none. The cottage has good links to local walks, the Little Mill Pub is about 2 miles away and does great lunches. The cottage is warm and fully equipped, great value for money and I would recommend this for anyone who wants peace and quiet.
