Find a super king-size double bedroom up the second flight of stairs, with a zip/link bed for flexible sleeping arrangements, an en-suite cloakroom and fabulous views across Bakewell, the surrounding hills and the pretty gardens. Lastly, the lower ground floor plays host to another super king-size double (zip/link can be twins on request) with its very own en-suite shower room and a large utility/drying room with additional fridge/freezer. 2.5 weeks later and numerous WhatsApp’s, calls you claim you couldn’t reach the cleaner and couldn’t locate the shoes. Finally after I repeatedly asked you reminded me that the cleaners number was on the key email - wow 1 minute later Kelly located the shoes. This is a complaint - your systems are clearly not robust and you’ve let me down badly. Evidence suggests that you didn’t even bother to contact the cleaner. It’s really not that hard. I will never use Sykes Cottages again.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. The cottage is situated on a hillside about a 10 minute walk out of Bakewell and is well placed for visiting the surrounding Towns and villages. There are plenty of shops to explore in Bakewell along with several pubs and cafes. I would recommend wyebrow cottage however, the stairs are quite narrow and steep so probably not suitable for people with mobility problems.
