Lindum Cottage is a cosy property in a picturesque village, praised for its well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with crisp bedding, and a pleasant conservatory. The local pub and nearby attractions add to the charm. Some guests noted issues with maintenance and cleanliness, but the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a tranquil setting.
The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests found it very clean, while others reported issues such as a dirty kitchen floor and unclean bedding. However, the majority of comments were positive.
The location is highly regarded for its beautiful countryside, local walks, and proximity to Bakewell. The village's traditional charm and nearby attractions like Chatsworth House contribute to its appeal.
Comfort levels are generally high, with praise for the comfortable beds and powerful shower. However, one guest found the master bed very uncomfortable, which affected their stay.
Facilities are well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. However, there were issues with TV reception and heating instructions, and some guests expected garden furniture that was not present.
While some guests were disappointed by the lack of a welcome pack and the absence of tea towels and milk, there is not enough information to determine if gifts are a regular occurrence. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed.

The village is fantastic, great local walks, amazing views and great countryside, its a traditional village with a church, a tearoom / Café, Small Farm shop and one fantastic pub which serves beautiful food, has a great selection of drinks and friendly staff. The lack of parking at the cottage wasn't an issue for us, we had no problem parking on the main road which is a short walk down the lane. The cottage has very clean and nicely appointed in terms of pots and pans etc...but we both found the the master bed VERY uncomfortable, we didn't stay in the cottage for the full duration of our booking, we couldn't face another night not sleeping. The TV keep cutting out and pausing, I think because it as a Internet TV set up but it made it impossible for us to watch. I fully get that the comfort of a bed is a very subjective issue and not everyone wants to watch TV on holiday but it was exactly "relaxing". Go to Monyash, but stay somewhere else.
