The Cowshed conversion is a combination of two cottages, both with thoughtfully laid out, open-plan living spaces, equipped with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area.
Prepare your best home-cooked dinners with the excellent facilities, including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, ready to be served at the dining table while you plan your Peak District adventures! Sink into the sofas and snuggle up with your loved ones in front of the TV, but if the evening's still warm, why not step out into your own private garden? The cottages were ideal for our needs, clean, cosy and very well equipped. Steve and Zoe couldnât have been more welcoming and we had much joy watching the antics of the alpacas, horses, chickens, ducks and much more. The hot tub was an extra bonus. Very cosy and well equipped cottages, perfect for two families or groups of friends who enjoy some privacy but also plenty of shared time. The hot tub was a real bonus! The animals on the farm enchanting and the owners couldnât have been more helpful or nicer. Superb!

The location was stunning; we were surrounded by nature and it was great to wake up to see lamas, geese and ponies and sit in the hot tub taking in the views. The cottages had everything we needed:- cooker, coffee maker, fridge, freezer and were extremely clean. The beds were very comfy and there was plenty of space for a party of eleven guest and 2 dogs. The cottages are well placed for walks in the Peak District, we walked for a pint at Youlgreave - about 3 miles away but was also close to Matlock; where we went out for cocktails and a meal. Steve the host was brilliant and recommended place to go for dinner, taxi firms and was just a text away if we needed anything. I would highly recommend The Old Cow Sheds, I can't wait to go back!
