A stunning Grade II listed country house, built by Francis Moore in 1628, set in its own beautiful grounds in the middle of the conservation village of Winster, in the Peak District National Park. Occupied by the Moore family in the 17th century, the Hall later became a Coaching House and Inn, and in the 19th century, Llewellyn Jewitt, a local antiquary, occupied the Hall and his gravestone can be found in the local church cemetery. Set over three floors, the Hall stands back from the main street behind the original stone-built gateway. The wide, elegant staircase leads to the first floor, where there are two spacious bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms and one with a romantic four poster bed. The wonderful first floor sitting room is one of the real jewels in the crown; with feature windows on two sides providing a bright and spacious feel, as well as interesting views of the main high street, it provides a perfect space to relax and unwind, enjoy a family film or get out the board games. Everything was excellent and could ask for no more. We did find the access for cars was not great as the entrance was not wide enough, therefore parked either on the road or at the side of the building.

Itâs a very happy place with beautiful gardens and everything you need for memorable shared moments. We enjoyed every minute of our visit and appreciated the opportunity to share this marvelous house. We played croquet, lawn Bowles, cards, dominoes and did lots of jigsaws. Beautiful views and amazing peaceful location â¤ï¸
