Enjoy a day out at one of the vibrant Derbyshire towns nearby; visiting Matlock for a spot of classic afternoon tea at one of the gorgeous tearooms, before travelling over to Bakewell to sample the town's renowned pudding and discover the incredible Chatsworth House, the beautiful Haddon Hall is also close by, and with over 900 years of history it has much to offer for a great day out. Family-friendly attractions just a car ride away include The Great Moss Cavern, The Heights of Abraham, Matlock Bath Aquarium and Arcade, Gulliver's Kingdom, and Carsington Water! Slip on your walking boots and discover a day of adventure along the challenging Limestone Way, a long distance walking trail which spans just over 46 miles, there's also the opportunity for rambles, hikes and cycling at Robin Hood's Stride and Cratcliffe Rocks, as well as miles and miles of superb walking routes across the wonderful Derby Dales, which surround Ivy Cottage, alternatively catch the train over to the bustling city centre of Sheffield for a day of shopping or night on the town. Winster is a conservation village in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park, home to a general store, a Post Office, two pubs, and is recognised for its Morris dancers and annual Shrove Tuesday race. The village is a short distance away from a wealth of Peak District hotspots and attractions including Bakewell, Matlock, Chatsworth House, the Peak Rail Steam Railway, The Limestone Way, and the Tissington and High Peaks.
