The hot tub was a different matter. The water was quite green to start with but we assumed had been treated ready for our arrival. The owner advised to test chlorine levels late evening or in the morning - this was after our children had already used it on arrival. We could not get the chlorine levels up to a safe level due to insufficient chlorine available at the property and my son was referred to A&E with a serious ear infection within 4 days of leaving the property. Our advice is to test chlorine levels BEFORE YOU USE THE HOT TUB for your own safety. If it's below a safe level, don't use it. We notified the owner after we left, even showing photos of my son's ear antibiotics prescribed by the hospital, but we did not get a response.

The cottage was as described and warm, clean and cosy when we arrived after a long journey! We loved the hot tub in the evening after a busy day. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and we appreciated the milk, coffee, tea and hot chocolate you left for us. The cottage was well situated for walks around the area, and there was a good walk behind the village. We were a little worried about being able to park close by after previous reviews but there was always plenty of spaces! We would definitely come back!
