To the north, you have the rugged landscape of the Dark Peak, whereas to the south, there are the limestone plateaus of the White Peak, both offering excellent walking/cycling routes. You also have the beauty of Edale (12.5 miles) and Hope Valley (7.5 miles) to explore, or perhaps you’d prefer to head underground, in which case head to the show caves at Castleton (8.5 miles). The popular towns of Bakewell and Buxton are also within 8.5 miles, where you can enjoy their local ‘delicacies’ and soak up the towns’ history.
