Guests say

The Cottage in Buxton is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and dog-friendly amenities. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, secure garden, and the field for dogs to roam. While some noted the absence of Wi-Fi and issues with comfort, the property's charm and location in the Peak District make it a favoured choice for a relaxing getaway.

Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained upon arrival. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

The location is highly regarded for its stunning views and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests noted the proximity to a main road and the absence of a nearby shop, slightly affecting the score.

While many guests found the cottage cosy and comfortable, there are several remarks about uncomfortable sofas and beds, as well as issues with lighting. These points suggest room for improvement in comfort.

The property is well-equipped, but guests have noted the lack of Wi-Fi, washing machine, and dishwasher. The presence of a secure garden and field for dogs is a plus, but the absence of certain amenities impacts the score.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Without such references, it is not possible to assess this category, resulting in a null score.

We had a wonderful weekend in Peak Forest, staying in a beautiful cottage with a wonderful view in a stunning part of the country. The cottage was simply beautiful so well presented and comfortable. Loved it and could not recommend the cottage as a perfect place to stay more highly

We arrived at about 5pm and the cottage was very cold .The heating had just come on bearing in mind it is very old and a lovely setting it would have been lovely to arrive to a warm welcoming home.It took ages to warm up and as my hubby has been quite ill he and I felt the cold. We thought that we would be ok but then I became unwell too so thinking about the coldness we had had the previous night we decided to come home.It is the first time we have ever done this and it is a hard thing to do.The setting was lovely great views and the field for the dogs was ideal. The owner was lovely and there to meet us so I feel it is such a shame the coldness got to us . We left because of the coldness so sad .

Pictures don't do it justice. Host Jane greeted us at the property, lovely lady, nothing was too much trouble. Perfect host and very accommodating.
