Moorecroft is a spacious, open-plan, contemporary property with a large indoor swimming pool, a 7ft cinema screen with Sky Sports, and a games room.
The property is decorated and furnished to a high standard with many quirky features. It is powered by OVO green energy. Cavendish Golf Club is 5 minutes’ walk from the house, and a walk from the front door into the hills or a stroll into the heart of Buxton takes only 10 minutes. Buxton has much to offer including its spectacular Pavilion Gardens, the amazing Devonshire Dome with its Victorian spa, the opera house, as well as unique shops and restaurants to cater for all tastes. Guests may like to arrange a visit to coincide with a show at the Buxton Opera House which is a fantastic venue for all sorts of shows. Comedians such as Alan Carr and John Richardson have all made appearances, as well as music from Russell Watson, The Buzzcocks, Bellowhead and Scouting for girls. Tribute bands to Pink Floyd, Abba and Queen have also featured, as well as many plays, operas and children’s shows. There is an abundance of places to visit from stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, together with many great villages to visit. The adventure park Go Ape and Alton Towers is worth a visit, or enjoy visiting caverns, cycling along trails, golf at Buxton or stride out on one of the numerous walks. Shops, pubs and restaurants 500 yards away.

Family birthday . Amazing house, 8 adults 1 baby 2 dogs. Would return here in a heartbeat. So much space , comfortable beds, bedrooms, huge kitchen , games room, cinema room was fantastic and the swimming pool is just the icing on the cake. Winter visit, lots of snow which added to the joy of this trip. Fantastic host Becky, so helpful. Only Very slight negative is The games room is very cold , wall heater does take the edge off but has to be restarted every 20 mins, but it is the garage so really it’s to be expected . All in all we were so sad to leave . Will defo be returning here. Loved the whole week and loved this house

The house was good but could I with some updating. The sofa was very soft and uncomfortable. Pool was fabulous. Kitchen equipment needs replacing only one side of toaster works and oven the seal has gone so handles on outside get very hot and easy to burn yourself.

We were a group of 8 friends and we had an amazing stay here. Very well equipped. The pool and games room were great fun. Would definitely return and recommend.
