We’ve stayed here twice now and will undoubtedly be back. The cottage is immaculately clean, well equipped (even has a filter coffee machine), comfortable and well laid out. Its position in the village works well, easy flat walk to nice pubs, cafes and restaurants. Set back from the road, it’s nice and quiet. The owners are very helpful, we needed to change plans slightly and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The village has a good balance of shops and hospitality, is well placed for walks, and the locals were really friendly, especially the owners of the Cherry Tree cafe and Star Inn You won’t be disappointed booking this house.

Lovely and clean and warm for November nights . Mattresses were a bit soft but that’s personal preference rather than a Criticism . Storm Bert was noisy but enjoyed our stay despite the weather . Local Italian restaurant was amazing and horse and jockey pub was good too.

The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and found the house/cottage a very relaxing place to return to after exploring the wonderful area. One thing, the address given just says Buxton with no mention of Tideswell, though the postcode is correct.
