The quaint, cobbled village of Longnor provides an array of shops and traditional pubs, whilst the nearby Manifold Valley and Tissington Trail offer great walking and cycling opportunities. Situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands the charming Peak village of Longnor is located close to both the River Dove and the River Manifold. This tranquil little settlement makes an excellent touring centre and boasts several shops, a post office, tea shop, craft centre and a beautiful church. The market square itself is cobbled and a scale of charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall, adding to the old-world charm of the place. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the Spa town of Buxton are all within easy driving distance, as is the attractive market town of Bakewell and the ever popular Alton Towers theme park.

It was nice to know that the owners were on hand should you need them ( but we did not). We were easily able to explore around Longnor and the surrounding areas, and a bonus for dining was the newly opened Cheshire Cheese Pub, this alongside the Chip shop makes Longnor a lovely village to visit.
