I was very disappointed that there was no canopy on the bed not really a 4 poster then is it. Not a spar bath either just a P bath. Need to change details and photo's. Lovely waterfall shower. Great location and central to town. Well equipped. Could do with guidance on how to use recycling at outside bins. Had a lovely time in Buxton and loved gardens opposite for walks. Did enjoy our stay at this apartment.

Lovely flat in the heart of Buxton. Close to the Opera House, local parks and shops. The flat is very comfortable, full of lovely old furniture and ornaments. Books, CD etc although we didn't use much as we were out and about. A couple of niggles, the toilet was stained and the lovely rug in the bedroom was not very even - both easily sorted. The flat was completed with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen had everything you could want to cook a meal. Overall all a lovely place to stay and could be made even better if the couple of niggle could be sorted.

The Savoy is located on the edge of Buxton's central park, perfect for accessing the Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens, a few minutes walk away from the main shopping street. The road outside was quiet at night. It was great to have our own parking space, although our large car did acquire a scrape. We liked all the antique furniture and ornaments, the chandeliers were very grand. There is now a new comfortable modern sofa and armchair. The kitchen was up to date and everything worked. Minus points - we were there in hot weather and it was a struggle to open any of the period sash windows. The communal hallways were smelly. The pillows lumpy. We really enjoyed our stay and have already booked to come back next year, we will bring our own pillows though.
