This stone farmhouse offers very high quality spacious accommodation in a quiet rural location overlooking the surrounding fields. With thick walls and oak floors plus two cosy wood burning stoves, one in the lounge and one in the kitchen, this is the perfect spot to escape to all year round. The front door leads into a beautiful fitted modern kitchen diner, ideal for family meals, then through to a large lounge with comfortable sofas. A flagged terrace and separate enclosed garden offer great places to sit out on summer evenings. Located within easy walking distance of the town centre, there is a good choice of restaurants and shops on hand. May be booked with adjacent Shepherds Cottage and Ivy Cottage for large groups.

The cottage is really well equipped, except for the lack of a high chair. We loved the log burner, the spacious kitchen and the comfortable bedrooms with stunning views. We’d definitely recommend the cottage.To make it easier to find the cottage, it would be helpful to have a sign with the name of the cottage at the entrance of the lane as well as the cottage itself. The drop in height to the right hand of our parking space without any railing is an accident waiting to happen.Apart from that, the cottage is perfect.

Lovely warm and cosy house with pleasant bedrooms, great views and outside sitting areas. Nice fireplaces and bedlinnen, all beds were comfortable. For some reason the shower upstairs was far too hot and we couldn’t adjust it but it sorted itself later, everything else worked fine. We would have liked more (big) cups and tea spoons, some kitchen knives and a washing up brush/ sponge. Local shops provide everything and it’s a nice little walk down the (steep) hill.
