Wonderful location, views, swimming pool, facilities, etc. The only downside was noisy neighbours - screaming child on the other side of the bedroom in the middle of one night (for an hour) and heavy footsteps from flat above late every night.

Our second stay at Shallcross Hall cottages and we had a great stay surrounded by the incredible views of the Peak District. The heated swimming pool is an unexpected bonus and is loved by guests. Our apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable with beautiful panoramic views from the open plan living , dining / kitchen room. The kitchen had all the essentials, though working space was at a premium when making meals. The bath and shower provided great bathing. We slept very well and the bedroom was spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage space, though we appreciated that the carpet was ready to be replaced. Overall, the owners have gone to a lot of effort to make the guest stay a comfortable one and they certainly achieved that for us. They offer great value accommodation in a beautiful location. What's not to love?

Spacious flat with wonderful views, clean and comfortable. However, Considering that you can’t check in until gone 5, the entrance and general area is very poorly lit. There was no bath mat or similar provided and the towels had seen better days. We found the wifi code very hard to read. I tried to pass this on to the owner but he didn’t want to know.
