Guests consistently praise the well-maintained, clean, and modern cottage, highlighting the hot tub, sauna, and comfortable beds as standout features. The property's serene location offers stunning scenery and walks, with the added convenience of a nearby town for amenities. The thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs, are frequently appreciated, contributing to the property's charm and the overall excellent experience reported by many visitors.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotless and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness. A few isolated comments mentioned issues with cleanliness, but these were not reflective of the overall guest experience.
The property's location in the Peak District is highly praised for its beautiful surroundings and proximity to local walks and reservoirs. Some guests noted the remoteness and hilly terrain, which may not suit everyone, but overall the location is considered a positive aspect.
Guests frequently compliment the comfortable beds and the cosy atmosphere of the cottage. Some concerns were raised about the size of social spaces and suitability for larger groups, but comfort in individual rooms is consistently rated highly.
Facilities such as the hot tub, sauna, and well-equipped kitchen are often highlighted as highlights. However, there are mentions of maintenance issues like the sauna not reaching temperature and the pizza oven needing cleaning, suggesting room for improvement.
Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful welcome packs provided by the host, which include items such as wine, biscuits, and cake. While these gestures are frequently mentioned and add to the positive experience, it is important to note that such gifts are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The only negative was the sauna that took hour to get warm but the hot tub was great. The master bedroom was huge and luxurious. It was freezing when we arrived but the cottage as it has under heated flooring was lovely and warm and it remained toasty for the whole of the trip. I am very nesh but there was certainly no need to used the log burner!! We received a welcome pack which was lovely. I would totally recommend staying here, thank you to the host

We stayed with the family foe New Year and had everything we needed bar bin bags and a cloth but that was certainly not the end of the world. Sauna and hot tub were amazing felt so relaxed afterwards. Enjoyed a week there walking round the reservoirs with the dogs and spending quality time with the family.
