The Cottage receives high praise for its comfort, cleanliness, and welcoming hosts, Ian and Lisa. Nestled in a peaceful rural setting, it's ideal for exploring the Peak District, with guests enjoying the proximity to walking trails and attractions. The presence of friendly farm animals adds charm. While Wi-Fi connectivity is noted as an area for improvement, the overall experience is cherished, with many guests eager to return.

The location is highly appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions, including Alton Towers and scenic walks. The rural setting offers a peaceful retreat, though some guests mention slow Wi-Fi due to the location.
Comfort is a standout feature, with guests finding the cottage cosy, well-equipped, and spacious. The presence of a log burner adds to the cosy atmosphere, and the comfortable beds ensure a restful stay.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, some guests note the absence of certain kitchen essentials and the slow Wi-Fi, suggesting room for improvement in this category.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through personal touches like fresh flowers and treats for both guests and pets. While these gestures are warmly mentioned, it's important to note that such extras, though delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed.

The cottage was absolutely spotless and really cosy. We loved looking out at the horses and watching the chickens and ducks do their daily walks around. Perfect location for exploring Derbyshire and very friendly hosts and quick to respond with any questions I had. Thank you

Although new logs were set under the log burner there were no fire lighting materials available. However, the shop in a nearby village had matches and dry kindling, despite the wet weather, could be foraged nearby. The cottage was well equipped with a small kitchen table and small fridge freezer. A leather chair and fabric settee could be found in the living room. Whilst recognising the recent weather, unfortunately the rug in front of the fire was wet on our first night and half the settee very damp along with some of the cushions. The central heating worked well and was needed. Despite the damp, nevertheless with more clement weather we would be happy to stay again.

Very clean and tidy. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of room. Nice friendly welcome at the door. Lisa was about if we needed anything but everything went smoothly. Poor internet was not a problem for us and this was stated in the blurb and by Lisa at the welcome. Demi says thank you for her treats.
