Cae Bitfel offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views and a private, cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, the scenic location, and the thoughtful touches like homemade snacks. While some mention minor maintenance issues and suggest it's best suited for couples due to space, the overall experience is highly regarded for those seeking tranquillity and nature.
The property is generally praised for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless. However, a few reviews mentioned issues such as dead flies and a mouldy kettle, slightly affecting the score.
The location is highly praised for its scenic views and tranquillity. It's noted as being remote and ideal for nature lovers, though some guests mentioned the need to travel for shops and amenities.
The comfort of the property receives mixed reviews. While many find it cosy and comfortable, others mention a small bed and sofa bed, and difficulties for those with mobility issues or when accommodating more than two people.
Facilities are generally good, but several reviews point out maintenance issues such as a dripping tap, broken blinds, and lack of certain kitchen utensils. These niggles prevent a higher score.
Guests have mentioned thoughtful gestures like homemade snacks and a welcoming host. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, they are a delightful bonus rather than a standard offering.

The area is very scenic and lovely and quiet, not much around shop wise unless you travel 12 miles or more, apart from the village shop, the pod is cozy and comfortable apart from a few niggles; the tap always drips all the time, the blind is broken and doesn't work properly it needs to be rolled up and down by hand otherwise it breaks and the cord comes off, we were told in text to just be careful with it as in so many words people before broke it, inside the kettle is all rotten and covered in white mold, things to make tea but no milk 🥛, had to buy our own which we left there, there were loads of soaps stored under the sink from previous guests, the shower is tiny with no slip mat so unless your thin, have good balance you won't get on with it also bed is small and you have to climb in by the front so not good for people with disabilities or elderly people. It says sleeps up to 4 but I'd say it would sleep 1 or 2 people at max as it's a small pod, 4 people and you'd never move in there you'd be like sardines. No toiletries only one little roll of toilet paper for our stay and had to ask about the bins as they were full and they would have never have been done otherwise during our stay. Can't say much about the hosts only seen the lady once during our long stay and that was for a min or two but she seemed nice.

Pod is lovely, views and surrounding area stunning, there is lots of lovely walks from Lake Vyrnwy which is only 2.5miles away. Owners are lovely and very helpful. Would thoroughly recommend! Only reason not 5 stars is due to a couple of little niggles - tap dripping and could only open blind by manually rolling it up due to cord coming off wheel. Would give 4.5 stars if an option. I would also say that whilst advertised as sleeping 4, it is perfect for 2, 4 you would struggle for space.
