After exploring the nearby Brede High Woods (5 miles), the local villages of Westfield (2 miles) and Sedlescombe (1.5 miles) each offer a choice of traditional pubs for you to unwind in. For a day by the coast, head south to Hastings (7 miles) with its beautiful beach, and an array of attractions including an aquarium, castle and the popular Smugglers Adventure. Other sites of interest in the High Weald include Bodiam Castle (6.5 miles) and Bateman's (13 miles). Heading west, the town of Rye (11.5 miles) is known for its historic buildings and cobbled streets alongside a choice of friendly pubs, restaurants, cafes and independent shops.
This bright and welcoming cottage features a spacious lounge with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and an abundance of books for you to browse through. A step leads up into a generous kitchen/diner with flagstone flooring, a country-style dining table and a wealth of storage space and equipment, perfect for whipping up a family feast. Exploring this stylishly presented cottage further you will find a chic bathroom with an elegant freestanding bath and shower. There are two snug and colourful bedrooms. The first is on the ground floor, with a lovely super-king-size bed which can be made up as twins on request. The second bedroom is a cute and cosy double room set on a mezzanine level in the eaves of the cottage. Accessed via a ladder, this charming room has low sloping ceilings and restricted head height.
A stable door leads outside to a peaceful and secluded patio area which has a BBQ and garden seating, providing a relaxing spot for dining alfresco on a tranquil summer's day. Private parking is available for two cars. Please note, a pond is near the cottage, so small children should be supervised at all times.
