Guests say

Guests have praised the cottage's cleanliness, prime location near Lymington town centre, and the thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. While the property is generally comfortable, some guests noted the steep stairs and less comfortable sofas. The garden's upkeep and some maintenance issues were mentioned, but the overall experience remains highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its very clean condition. This suggests that the property is well-maintained in terms of hygiene.

The location is frequently praised for its convenience, being close to the High Street, shops, and restaurants, as well as being a good base for exploring the New Forest and coast.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, especially the beds and quietness. However, some guests mentioned uncomfortable sofas and steep stairs, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities are appreciated, such as the keypad entry and parking permit. However, there are comments about the lack of a dishwasher, untidy garden, and the need for appliance manuals, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful details, including welcome gifts like bread, milk, and coffee capsules. It's important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are a courtesy and not guaranteed for every stay.

The cottage is in a lovely location for the town and is very comfortable and well appointed. It would have been helpful to have had some additional information about rubbish disposal, i.e., what day of the week and where to leave domestic waste, and also some information regarding whether to strip beds before leaving and where to leave dirty linen. Having said that, the cottage is charming, and we'd come back again, with pleasure. A lovely place to stay.

Very enjoyable stay, good central location, easy walk to shops, pubs and restaurants, clean and comfortable cottage , use of a printer was handy for us

The owners notes say the appliances are straightforward and there are manuals to refer to but I am very technical but found the microwave quite a challenge - a simple 2 or 3 line note inside the cupboard door is needed. A small chest of drawers in the main bedroom would be useful (and, yes, there is room). A couple of minor issues - the shower head keeps sliding down while having a shower and the toilet roll holder is loose and the toilet roll kept falling off. The parking permit is a bonus and should be listed in the property details. Overall a lovely cottage in an ideal location and we would definitely use again if we were staying in Lymington.
