i found the Tank House to be a lovely escape but alas it wasn't without its flaws. I spent a week in the Tank House with my partner, we are both quite large and it only has a double bed, and for me I had issues with the stove. the cooking stove is an induction stove and there were no instructions that I could find, I even searched online but I couldn't find the model, I made do and I didn't destroy anything, for some reason the hob extractor is wired into the light above the cooker, nothing wrong with that but it seemed odd. A set of new sharp knives are a must for anyone attempting proper cooking, I think a complete list of equipment and location would help in the welcome pack would help. The closure of the only pub in Nether Wallop "the Five bells" was annoying, but nothing to do with the Tank house, the nearest other pub I could find was the "George Inn" in Middle Wallop, that was more than a short walk for me for the occasional pint. None of my issues are a deal breaker for me and I would happily return to the tank house in the future.

Really good location, peace and quiet you cant get in many guest houses. Lovely walks, villages to visit and good food in the area. The Tank House itself is perfectly cozy and has almost everything you need.

In the beautiful village of Nether Wallop. Picturesque cottages, streams & walks. 5 minute drive to average pub. Silence is golden. Birdsong beautiful. Resident owl in roofspace, loves to dance all night! No shop for bits. Have to drive if you want to go anywhere!! The Tank House needs some TLC on the exterior. Dirty windows, especially the Velux in the bedroom original sticker marks still on glass. The bathroom is small, but perfect. Gorgeous soft big towells .paint touchups needed on walls & shower edging needs attention. Mattress very uncomfortable! Possibly feather bedding? Should really be anti allergen or at least mentioned in rundown.Information pack is pretty nonexistent! No info on appliance use, plenty of leaflets though. No fire extinguisher/blanket in the property or escape route from upstairs. Priority. Kitchen amenities adequate. If you fancy a big fry up, take a big frying pan! Very small one supplied. Last of all, the sofa is the most uncomfortable thing we have ever sat on. So, we spent time at the table or upstairs watching ipad in the evenings! It is very deep & slouching. Not pleasant. Two big cosy armchairs would be better! Again feather filled, so not ideal for allergies. Red wine was delicious! Couldn't eat the chocolate as had nuts in!!Great if you just want a short break. Countryside is wonderful.
