Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the Farmhouse Garden Shepherds Hut for its charming setting amidst wildlife and farm animals, with convenient access to local walks and amenities. The hut is praised for its cosiness, particularly the log fire, and the host Sally is commended for her helpfulness. While compact, the hut is equipped with necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

The hut is described as clean, although one review mentioned signs of aging. No other negative comments about cleanliness suggest that it is well-maintained.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to nature, wildlife, and local attractions, making it ideal for walks and exploring the countryside.

Comfort receives mixed reviews. While the bed is noted as very comfy and the hut cosy, some guests found the space cramped, especially when sharing with a large dog, and noted limited seating.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with all necessary amenities provided. However, some guests noted limited hot water and storage, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.

While guests have mentioned the host's helpfulness and the provision of fire lighters, there are no specific references to gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

The Hut was clean but showing signs of aging, storage was either inaccessible or limited at best. With no pictures of the living area we were unaware that the bed was particularly high and only one ‘comfortable’ seat was provided. It could have been a quaint hut for some, but was a disappointment and not for us.

The hut very cleverly had everything we needed and the environment was lovely especially the donkey and Shetland next door. Only disadvantage for us was that it was cramped sharing with a large dog but as we were using it only as a base it wasn’t a problem.Annie Griffiths
