Ladylands Cottage receives praise for its peacefulness, cleanliness, and picturesque location. The garden offers stunning views, and the property is well-equipped, though some guests suggest improvements. The local pub is a highlight, and the cottage is a comfortable base for exploring the Isle of Wight.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean and tidy, with one review highlighting it as 'spotlessly clean'. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is praised for its tranquillity and beautiful views, particularly from the garden. Its central position on the Isle of Wight makes it ideal for visiting the island, and the proximity to a local pub is appreciated.
The cottage is frequently described as comfortable and cosy, with a peaceful atmosphere conducive to good sleep. However, some guests mention issues with heating and the steepness of the garden, which could affect comfort for some visitors.
While the cottage is equipped with essentials and a well-appointed kitchen, guests have noted the absence of an ironing board, a freezer, and clear instructions for appliances. There are also comments about the need for a shower curtain and a mirror above the sink.
There are mentions of basic essentials being provided, such as toilet roll and milk, which indicate thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently referenced across the reviews, it is not possible to accurately score this category. Guests should note that such provisions are a courtesy and not guaranteed.

BUT, the walk in shower could not be used because there was no heat provided in a very cold space. The previous guests also complained about it. The radiators in the kitchen and twin room were also permanently cold, with no facility for adjustment. The modest "welcome pack" included a small half filled jug of milk, partially covered, which does not comply with good food hygiene standards. (A 500ml. carton of milk only costs 90p!!) The advertised village shop has been shut since Christmas and is unlikely to re-open, we were told. The shop in Brighstone was excellent.

Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It is central to everywhere that you may want to visit. The kitchen is well equipped, the utility room excellent for storing outdoor clothing and dog stuff. We had a restful, peaceful time, just what we needed. THANK YOU.
